Trekking Season at Phu Soi Dao National Park

Trekking Season at Phu Soi Dao National Park

Date: August – January 2015

Venue: Phu Soi Dao National Park,

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is inviting tourists to take part in this year’s trekking season at Phu Soi Dao National Park between August and January. The rainy season is the best time to take in the magical sights of the kingdom’s indigenous flowers in full bloom.

Phu Soi Dao National Park, covering areas both in Uttaradit and Phitsanulok provinces, is abundant with natural flora and fauna. With its highest peak situated at 2,102 metres above the sea level, the mountain is considered the fifth highest in Thailand.

Highlights at this national park are the five-tier Phu Soi Dao waterfall, the seven-tier Sai Thip waterfall, and the trekking trails to see the pine forests at 1,633 metres above the sea level. The trekking route is 6.5 kilometre in distance and would take four to six hours on foot. At the summit is one of the largest natural flower fields in Thailand, boasting indigenous flowers including Dok Ngon Nak, Dok Soi Suwanna and Dok Ya Rak Hom.

Phu Soi Dao National Park provides standard accommodation and camping sites for nature lovers. Nearby the park is the Ban Rom Klao Botanic Garden, a royal initiative project, which has the comprehensive collections of indigenous floras found in Thailand.

Lavish Dinner Buffets at JW Marriott Bangkok

PassionateCouple has posted a blog titled “JW Marriott (Bangkok) – Best Lavish Dinner Buffets” on 3 July, 2014 on Travel Love Dine.

The blog reads:

We stayed in Bangkok for 1 night. Although JW Marriott is only 30 mins drive from the airport, it took us almost 2 hours to reach the hotel as the traffic in Bangkok is just crazy.

Traffic is one of the first things that you see in Bangkok. But we more than happy to just to sit back and enjoy the drive looking at the places across the roads.

On reaching the hotel, our check-in was done within few minutes and in no time we were escorted to our room. The room was beautiful, cozy and luxurious. They also kept a delicious chocolate and strawberry welcome cake for us in our room. Our room overlooked the Nana Entertainment Plaza (a must visit place when in Bangkok – please google for more details).
